Chivas Brothers - Safe Systems
Chivas Brothers' brilliant Operations team devised an industry-leading safe system of work which was rolled out early on in the COVID-19 crisis. Dylan Hyslop, Finished Goods Operator, gives us the tour.
Purpose of Story π€
To showcase the work that the operations team had put in to making the distilleries across the Chivas Brothers brand accessible and workable coming out of lockdown.
The video promotes an employee-led initiative which helps employer brand and also shows how Chivas Brothers are able to keep delivering their product as an FMCG company affected by the pandemic.
Setting the Story up βοΈ

Whatβs more authentic than a video message to contributors explaining what they need to do? This is the time to really hammer home what the purpose of the Story is, and get the contributors excited to be a part of it.

Contributors are more likely to take part in a Story if the introduction is simple, with a clear instruction as to what they need to do, and how the footage is going to be used.

Operations providing a tour of the new measures in place at sites, reassuring tone around of SSOW (particularly for those who might be returning to work), sharing the 'new' news of what is happening at sites and what is to come.
Getting contributions β
The story creator used a guided approach without being too prescriptive:
- Each contributor was given a few bullet points in the shot list under their own name to ensure that they mentioned the key measures in place.
